Keep your pond healthy, functional, and looking good
When we visit your pond we maybe do any or all of the following service areas. This service can be bi-weekly, monthly, or just a one-time stop pond maintenance & service. Our team is ready to help you!
Testing & Checking
- Test your pond water quality for any unsafe levels that may exist
- Check all plumbing, connections, and hardware for leaks while your pond is running
- Check, clean, or replace all filter pads in skimmer and waterfall boxes
- Check your water levels for any volume loss due to evaporation
- Test all equiptment function to make sure pumps, aerators, and filters are working properly
- Check for wildlife activity that can damage ponds and aquatic features
- Monitor algae growth to prevent oxygen crashes
- Spot fish kills or stress before it spreads
- Emsure proeprty feeding patterns are being utilized seasonally
- Monitor clarity and nutrient levels
- Catch pH imbalances, algae blooms, or comtamination early
- Check on the structural integrity of your pond or aquatic features
- Search for leaks in the liner or dam issues
Cleaning
- Debris removal—skimming and removing leaves, sticks (branches), trash, etc.
- Removing sludge and sediment—this includes vaccuuming muck from the bottom and dredging built-up sediment. Also, removal of any decomposing plant material. *All of this helps reduce nutrient buildup that duels algae growth
- Algae control all around from manual removal of string algae, treating plantonic (green water) algae, to applyin algaecides (when appropriate), and installaing or maintaining aeration to prevent blooms
- Aquatic plant management via cutting back overgrowth, removing invasives, thinning submerged vegetation, and replanting disrable native plants
- Cleaning and servicing pumps and clearing intake screens and plumbing lines
- Backwasing or replacing filter media
- Ensuring overflow systems are clear
- Installating aeration systems and improving water mpovement to precent stagnation
- Adjusting fountains or diffusers
- Spring cleanouts, fall leaf management, and winterixation or de-icing setups
Maintenance
The most important thing about pond and aquatic maintenance is about keeping the system healthy and balanced over time—not just doing a big clean out every other season or annually. This helps extend pond equipment life, aesthetics, and safety.
- Water quality management—water testing involving pH, dissolved ocygen, nutrients, etc.)
- Adjusting treatments to maintain balancer and preventing nutrient overload
- Trimming and thinning marginal plants, controlling invasive species, and managing submerged and floating vegetation
- Monitoring for early signs of blooms, spot treating algae growth, maintaining aeration to reducre stagnant areas, and managing nutrient inputs
- Observing fish behavior and health, managing stocking levels, addressing any unwanted species, and monitoring for borrowing animals that damage banks / shorelines
- Complete equipment maintence—inspecting and cleaning pumps, servicing aerators, checking all filters and intake screens, ensuring proper circultion, and replacing worn parts as needed
- Stuctural care and debris management all around with seasonal adjustments
Repairs
- Pump repair or replacement—fixing seized motors, replacing worn impellers, or addressing electrical issues
- Aerator and fountain repairs—replacing compressors or diffuser, replairing airlines, fixing lighting componenets, motor replacements if failed
- Filtration system repairs—replacing blogged or damaged filters, repairing cracked housings, fixing plumbing leaks
- Leak detrection & water loss repairs—pressure testing plumbing lines, dye testing for liner leaks, sealing skimmers or waterfall cracks, and repairing intake / outflow structures
- Liner repair or replacement—patching tears or punctures or a full liner replacement (of deteriorated)
- Dam & embankment repair—fixing erosion or washouts, compacting and bebuilding weakened sections, and addressing animal burrow damage
- Shoreline stabiliization—regrading banks, adding erorsion control fabric or vegetation, installaing reinforcements
- Complete drainage and storm damage repairs—removing debris and clearing clogged overflow pipes
